If I had to pick a third type of chicken to be my favourite, It’d be the silkie chicken. Although Silkie cockerels can be somewhat competitive on occasion, the excellent rose come, the broody nature of the hens, and the amazing plumage is something quite admirable. Although It’s not exactly a rare breed, I love it so much. I’ll never forget my silkie cockerel Chi-Chi. He was placid (unusually) But LOUD! He was an exceptional character!
